From the Bayshore to my travels in the Keys, this summer has blessed us with some really spectacular sunsets. The reflections across the water creating a space that is otherworldly— here yet distant, evolving moment by moment—as the sky and sea collide and fade together into night.

Hazy Horizons

This summer, the smoke from the Canada wildfires have been drifting along the Bayshore. Obstructed views of the city, of the horizon, of the sun. It’s only inevitable that it goes in through the eyes, out through the hands, up into the paintings. I’ve been experimenting with acrylic inks and increasingly thin washes of paint to capture the haziness of these half-there, dreaming wide awake landscapes. I present a small set here.

This abstract landscape painting was inspired by the first soft signs of spring taking shape along the bay shore. Glimpses of the water subtly break through the shifting composition of white and neutral shades. It is available in a range of sizes on paper and canvas with some lovely framing options.
